Perrine’s Bridge in Esopus, NY holds a special place in my heart. I grew up a few short miles from it, and I have fond memories of visiting it with my grandfather, and also with my own parents and siblings.
The day that I shot the one of the bridge at night started with reminiscing and catching up with relatives in Maryland, at a tough time in their lives. I then headed to New York to stay with a friend for a while while I work on my photos and explore the next stage of my life. So, I was really happy to get this photo of such a special place, to symbolize not only family memories, but excitement to spend a significant amount of time, as an adult, in the area I grew up in. It helped that it was such a beautiful night out, and I hope the photo captures my feelings the way I wanted it to.
A few days after the night photo, and a very pretty snow storm, I headed out to take one of the same shot during the day. Hopefully I’ll get some more with different lighting and weather conditions.

This is called Snow Covered Bridge – Get it?

One of my favorites of my own shots that I have printed
