The history of Kingston, New York is fascinating. Not only was it the first capital of the State of New York, but it’s got a deep industrial history, that I’m trying to learn about and explore further. The Hudson River and Rondout Creek were and are an integral part of this.
Beautiful early morning view of Kingston from behind Hasbrouck Park
The "Old bridge" over the Rondout Creek to Port Ewen - as opposed to the "New bridge" that was built in 1978!
Hutton Brick Company, on the Hudson River, abandoned for many, many years. I think it closed in the 1960s.
